Date to check — Enter any date — past, present, or future. The almanac reading is fully deterministic from the Chinese calendar, so future dates are just as complete as past ones.

Birth date (optional) — Your birth date adds a personal compatibility layer: whether the day's Clash animal conflicts with your Day Branch, and how the day's energy interacts with your personal chart.

Year — Defaults to the current year for the annual star overlay.

Reading the chart

Day pillar — The Heavenly Stem and Earthly Branch of the day form the core of the reading. The Stem carries the day's elemental energy; the Branch carries the hidden stems, terrain stage, and animal sign.

Day officer (建除十二神) — One of twelve officers cycles through the calendar, each with its own character — Open, Close, Balance, Stable, etc. — shaping what activities are favored or warned against.

Suitable & avoid — The almanac lists specific activities the day supports (signing contracts, starting a business, travel, marriage) and those to avoid. The full list is available to members and Mini reading purchasers.

Annual stars — The current year's Flying Star visits this day's palace, adding a layer of annual energy to the reading.

Personal clash — The personal section highlights when the day's Branch conflicts with your own chart and which pillars are involved.
