Entering your details

Period — Select the construction or last major renovation period (1–9). Period 9 began in 2024. If unsure, use when the house was built.

Facing direction — The direction your front door faces (not the street). Use a compass from the center of the home for the most accurate reading. Each direction has three sub-sectors (e.g. South 1, South 2, South 3).

Year — Defaults to the current year. Change it to see how annual visiting stars shift the energy across your home.

Reading the chart

The 9-palace grid — Each cell represents a sector of your home (N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W, NW, Center). The Mountain Star governs health and relationships; the Water Star governs wealth and opportunity.

Star combinations — Pairs of stars create compound meanings — some auspicious (like the 1-4 Scholar combination), some challenging (like the 5-2 Sickness combination). The reading deck explains each pair in your home.

Annual stars — Each year a visiting star enters every palace, layering new energy over the natal chart. The current year's visitor is shown alongside the natal stars.

Interactive features

Palace popup — Click any of the 9 palace cells to open a detail panel showing each star's name, element, and meaning — Mountain Star, Water Star, Period Star, and Annual Star for that sector.

Direction labels — Click any direction label (N, NE, SW, etc.) around the chart to see which life area that sector governs and its Bagua trigram.

Legend tooltips — Hover any item in the legend for a fuller explanation of what that star type means and which number in the cell it corresponds to.

Print — Ctrl/Cmd + P prints the natal chart cleanly.
